In autumn of 2020 Brickworx completed the bricklaying package to this £41m extension to a hospital in Co. Derry Northern Ireland. The 3 and 4 storey new extension consists of a new main entrance and six new wards incorporating 144 single en-suite bedrooms.
Work was carried out in phases to allow all services to remain operational during construction. As well as the usual brick, block, insulation and associated sundries, additionally with this project we had brick soffits, stack bond brick panels, bed joint reinforcement, parapets, slip brick, universal wall starter system, head restraints, lead and brick clad retaining walls. We are delighted to be involved with and deliver early this NI Healthcare Project.
